2010 Clambake

John Kelley from Kelley Metals and Kieth Marsello from Parker Mfg. did a wonderful job organizing this years clambake.  The weather was perfect!  If we've learned anything, it's that we don't need perfect weather to have a good time, but it sure helps!

PJC would like to thank Stern Leach for donating Red Sox tickets and Swarovski for donating a beautiful crystal bowl to our annual raffle.  The PJC raffled off a Master Forge grill and a $150 gift certificate to Omaha Steaks, many thanks to John Alves for doing a wonderful job selling tickets!

Special shout out to the 24 Karat Club for bringing up their softball players, continuing the friendly rivalry between the PJC gang and the 24 Karat gang!  The PJC is happy to announce the victorious score of 10-4 (this was done with the help of the National Chain International Softball Champs).  To prove it wasn't a fluke, the following week the PJC softball team minus the international champs went to the 24 Karat outing and remain un-defeated for 2010 with a score of 6-3!!

We would also like to thank the PJC members for supporting the event and look forward to seeing you all at the 4th annual Steak Fry and Cigar Smoker which will take place on Thursday, August 12th at the East Greenwich Yacht Club.

2009 Holiday Party

Once again, the Hi-Hat Restaurant in the jewelry district of Providence was the site for the PJC Holiday Party.  Everything from the food to the band and the two large bars made it such an enjoyable evening.  Keri Ramella from Providence Chain organized the event with the help of her co-chair Jimmy Atamian from Atamian Mfg.

Michael Angelo won a BRAND NEW Toshiba 40" Flat Screen that was raffled off.  Michael bought 3 raffle tickets for $20!!!  He also showed cat like reflexes when he spotted Peter Linardo from Carla Corp jokingly walking it out the door!  ALMOST PETE!  Next year buy more tickets!

Enjoy the Holidays from The Providence Jewelers Club

2009 Golf Outing
This year’s golf tournament was held on Tuesday September 1st at Rhode Island Country club, the home of the CVS Charity Classic.

FINALLY, A beautiful day!!!  Nothing better than enjoying time with friends while playing one of the finest golf courses in Rhode Island.   The clear blue skys gave our golfers a chance to soak in magnificent views of Narragansett Bay and the Islands.

However, the nice weather didn’t keep the sandbaggers away…

The winners of Low Gross with a score of 64 was the foursome of John Venditti, John "Jappa" Petrarca, Dean Vescera and Alan Angiolilli – representing Advanced Chemical Co.  Awful lot of vowels in that foursome... any coincidence?

Low Net winners with a score of 53 were the foursome of Ed DeCristofaro, Jerry Traficante, Neil Stamps and Kevin Sweeney – representing LDC Inc.
Second place winners - Mike Merolla, Ted Dion, Neal Boyer and Dennis McGuire shot a low net of 53

The Big Hitters!
Long Drive Hole Winner - Hole #2 - Vito Torrisi (Lee's Mfg - oh and happens to be PJC President too)
Long Drive Hole Winner - Hole #16 -
Neil Stamps  (LDC Inc)

Closest to the Pin - Hole #5 - Jim Beauregard

Either these guys need to quit work (if they actually do work) and join the PGA tour or maybe next year we play a course that doesn't give out pencils with erasers!

Just kidding fellers - CONGRATULATIONS!  We're looking forward to the opportunity to do it again next year.

2009 Steak Fry Smoker

East Geenwich Yacht Club was the setting for an evening filled with appetizers, great steaks, desserts and cigars.  Ralph Gianfrancesco (Hallmark Sweet) and Keith Marsello (Parker Mfg) orchestrated the perfect Thursday night.  They even managed to clear out the rain.  Over 90 people attended the 3rd annual Steak Fry and Cigar Smoker and were treated to great food provided by Fauci's and cigars supplied by Regency Cigar.  As usual smiles filled the crowd throughout the evening.

2008 Harvest Ball

This year's Harvest Ball was a Fairy Tale setting.  The Botanical Gardens at Roger Williams Park surrounded this years attendees with tropical flowers, plants, fountains and fish.  Making the evening complete was the fantastic food and the sensational band.  Cheryl Antonacci organized the festivities with the help of her co-chair John Kelley III.
