| The 2008 Spring Luncheon, held at Kirkbrae Country Club, brought PJC members and guest together for good food and friendly conversations. Following the lunch, event chair Keith Marsello introduced the guest speaker Vincent "Buddy" Cianci to the crowd of close to 100. Buddy entertained the audience with funny stories of his time in office and on talk radio. The mood turned more serious when the topic shifted to the state of the State and what obstacles Rhode Island and the city of Providence is facing. The former Mayor of Providence then brought back the laughter to the audience by ending with some of his old commercials from past campaigns and then showing the out takes that went along with the finished product. All in all it was a beautiful day with some engaging commentary. |
